Diesel Express 1.0

Diesel Express presents an alternate post-World War II setting, beginning after a ceasefire that concludes the conflict in 1953. The war extended beyond initial projections, resulting in nuclear attacks that drastically altered the Earth's climate, leaving nature irreparably devastated.

While urban areas are protected by fortified walls, the surrounding wilderness falls under the control of a doomsday cult led by a mysterious figure known as Marius. As an ardent individualist, Marius persuades factions to oppose the city authorities, and his ideology gains significant traction amid the tumultuous post-war environment.

The primary mode of transportation between cities is the railroad. All resource exchanges are conducted via heavily armored diesel trains referred to as "The Dreadnoughts." The protagonist assumes a role within this system by enlisting in the regiment, embarking on his journey aboard one of these formidable engines.
